i 2.1.3 Other Dump Cover Monitoring
! The City will also conduct monthly assessment of the dump cover area to verify that the clean cover
over the dump is intact and to assess for stressed vegetation, cracks, or areas of significant
settlement. If such concerns are identified, then monitoring of ambient air at the area of concern will
be conducted similar to the approach for monitoring ambient air under the vents for the area -wide
Is
passive LFG collection system.
2.2 Monitoring by Development Block Owner
All of the future buildings on the eastern portion of the NW Quadrant will have a sub -slab venting
system as an additional engineering control to address LFG concerns. As outlined in the February
2008 RAP, it is anticipated that the building venting systems will be designed and constructed
following a processes similar to the Transoma Medical project that was completed at Block C in
2008.
Each development block owner will submit a RAP or RAP addendum that outlines a specific building
venting system design and monitoring program. The general approach for monitoring the building
venting systems is outlined in Figure 3.
PA1Mp1s\23 MM62\2362489\WorkFilesTastern RAP 2008NLFG CAP\Revised March 2009 CAP\LFG Contingency Action Plan
Revised March 2009.doc
