08/02/2010 10:50 FAX 6126268287 UDS IM004
Alyssa A. Lundberg
163 15'' Avenue NW • New Brighton, MN 55112
(612) 501-3863 • alyssamiskowiec@hotmail.com
07/28/2010
New Brighton Parks & Recreation
City of New Brighton
To Whom It May Concern:
As a new resident of the City of New Brighton I am interested in committing my time to my community
by serving as a member of the Parks and Recreation Commissions Task Force. I recently spoke with
Sandy Breuer regarding the playground equipment at Hanson Park of which I often frequent with my
two children. Sandy informed me of the planned upgrade for the equipment and mentioned that there
will be a task forced assigned to this project. As an avid park visitor with two small children, I feel that I
would have great input for this type of project and would be excited to be considered as a part of the
planning team.
In addition to Hanson Park, I would like to become actively involved with other park and recreation
projects in the local area. I grew up on Silver Lake and most recently lived in Northeast Minneapolis. 1
have always had a love for the outdoors and whether going for a run, walking my dog or playing with
my children in the park, there has rarely been a day gone by without a trip to one of our local parks.
Along with my love for the outdoors comes a certain responsibility for the care of our natural
environment. I have spent a great deal of time researching ways to lessen my family's footprint on the
environment. While I would not consider myself an expert in these areas, I have learned quite a bit
about recycling, composting as well as water and energy conservation and would welcome any project
related to these initiatives.
I hope that you will consider me to be a part of your team and look forward to the opportunity to use
my time, interests and energy toward the community of New Brighton.
Sincerely,
` Alyssa A. Lundberg
