13. Advocacy -To the best of their ability, everyone shall represent the official policies and positions <br />of the City Council. When a commission recommends a change in policy, practice, or ordinance it <br />•shall be done as a group and in a professional manner. <br />16. Improper Influence -Everyone shall refrain from using their position to improperly influence <br />the deliberations or decisions of City staff, boards, commission or committees. <br />17. Positive Work Environment -Everyone shall support the maintenance of a positive and <br />constructive environment for residents, businesses and City employees. <br />18. Implementation -Role expectations shall be included in the orientation process for commission <br />members, committee members, and volunteers. All members shall sign an acknowledgement form <br />(located on page 25) stating that they have read and understand the City of New Brighton <br />Commissioner/ Committee role expectations. <br />19. Compliance and Enforcement -Everyone has the primary responsibility to assure that ethical <br />standards are understood and met and that the public can continue to have full confidence in the <br />integrity of City government. <br />The commissioner/ committee role expectations shall be considered a summary of ethical behavior <br />that is expected be exhibited by New Brighton commission members, committee members, and <br />volunteers. <br />r� <br />E <br />15 <br />
