Detective (Acting Sergeant)Mitch Singer was awarded Officer of the Year. Deputy Director Dan Olson received a life-saving award. Gina Bauman Councilmember Bauman reported the EDC met January 18th. The Stuart project was discussed. Arne Cook was hired to work on marketing efforts in the Northwest Quadrant. The next EDC meeting is scheduled for February 15, 2011. Councilmember Bauman reported she is looking forward to serving as liaison to the Cable Commission. David Phillips Councilmember Phillips reported the Planning Commission met January 18th . The Pet Cremation business was reviewed. Councilmember Phillips reported one building on Old Highway 8 has recently been renovated and welcomed three new businesses; Scooter Central, Brighton Unique Auto and Pets Remembered. It was reported garage door monitors are still available.
