Citation to Accompany <br /> VETERAN SERVICE PIN <br /> To <br /> Detective Gary Sykes <br /> January 21, 2011 <br /> The New Brighton Department of Public Safety recognizes Detective Gary Sykes as the <br /> recipient of the VETERAN SERVICE PIN. <br /> Consideration for this award includes members of the police division who qualify for <br /> Veterans Status under U.S. Government regulation. <br /> Detective Sykes served as a member of the United States Army from 14 November 1974 <br /> until 13 November 1977. As a Military Police Officer,Detective Sykes last served at the rank of <br /> Sergeant as a Patrol Supervisor in charge of eight patrol squads on the Fort Carson, Colorado, <br /> military base with a population of 80,000.
