Breuer went through the Department Happenings presentation. Breuer gave kudos to Patrice Atkinson and Heidi Sedlacek who were responsible for the Health and Wellness Fair. It was a huge success. The Professional Golf Association of America named Brightwood Hills Golf Course as one of the Play Golf America, Top 100 performers in 2010. Kudos to Ken Manthis. Brad Martens, Facilities Manager received the Minnesota Recreation and Parks Association(MRPA) Horizon Award at the MRPA Annual General Meeting in January. The award goes to an active MRPA member, with under 8 years of professional service, who is an"up and coming" professional that posses great leadership skills. Frischman inquired if the Parks, Recreation and Environmental Commission could be involved in creating priorities for the Pavement Management Program. We would like to have a voice and be able to a part of the process. It was suggested another park tour was due. The Commission discussed the possibility of getting the Commission back on cable. Burg stated that she does not think the Council will change their mind. Trevorrow stated that at the next meeting he would like to have bike trails on the agenda. The tour would be a good time to look at the bike routes and get some markings. Trevorrow also stated there was an e-mail some time ago with info on the accident on Silver Lake Road and Ramsey County was going to have another meeting. He wondered if they had a meeting and if there was any more information to share. Breuer stated she has not heard any more; she will look into this and report back to the Commission. IX.
