-4- <br /> Over the next 10 years in that account we would have about 1 million <br /> dollars. Wyffels suggested taking that amount over the next 10 years and <br /> dedicate it for pavement management. <br /> The projects to be included in the Pavement Management Program are: <br /> 1. Install new 8 —foot bituminous trail section to Hansen Park shelter; <br /> remove and replace east parking lot bituminous. <br /> 2. Relocate Silver Oaks Park hard court <br /> 3. Resurface Vermont Park hard court and trail. <br /> It was also mentioned that Vermont Park shelter building may be taken <br /> down. <br /> Commissioners were in agreement with the above projects. <br /> Frischman commented that if it would cost-effective to take Hidden Oaks <br /> shelter building down at the same time as Vermont, it may help alleviate <br /> some of the negative behavior at the park because currently from the street <br /> you cannot see what is going on behind the shelter building. <br /> VIII. Announcements <br /> A. Chair Updates <br /> The Commission voted to change the date of the March meeting to <br /> Thursday, March 10th. <br /> MOTION BY JERED WEBER, SECONDED BY JEANNE <br /> FRISCHMAN, TO MOVE THE MARCH PARKS, RECREATION AND <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL COMMISSION MEETING TO THURSDAY, <br /> MARCH 10, 2011. MOTION CARRIED. <br /> B. Department Happenings/upcoming events <br /> Breuer stated that Joel Norton gave a presentation to the Council on the <br /> accomplishments of this Commission and he represented you well and did <br /> an outstanding job on the presentation. <br /> Breuer informed the Commission of all the Neighborhood meeting dates <br /> and their locations. <br /> Breuer stated the library chose a company to do the architectural work. A <br /> pre-agreement with the lease has been discussed with the library board. It <br /> will come before the Council either February 8 or the 22. They hope to <br /> start construction in April of 2011 and be completed by December; <br /> perhaps as early as September or October. That eliminates a few months <br /> of disruption in this building. Construction includes a"bump-out"where <br />
