Consideration ofResolution Establishing the 2011 Utility Rates" Charges, Report No. 11- <br />084. Resolution No. 11-027. <br />Director of Finance Dan Maiers reported the assumptions built into the financial planning model <br />have been reviewed with the Public Works Director. Proposed changes would be effective on or <br />after March 1, 2011. The following rates were proposed: <br />Water Sewer Stormwater Street Licht <br />Current $1.41 $3.08 $11.87 $6.41 <br />Proposed $1.47 $3.26 $10.92 $6.92 <br />Motion by Councilmember Phillips, seconded by Councilmember Burg to adopt the resolution <br />establishing the 2011 Utility Rates and charges <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br />2. Anna Miranda requests approval of a Special Use Permit to allow operation of an <br />event center at 400 Old Highway 8 NW. Report No. 11-085. Resolution No. 11- <br />029. <br />City Planner Gundlach reported the applicant is requesting a Special Use Permit to permit <br />operation of a "Multi -Purpose Area" (also being termed an event center) at 400 Old Highway <br />8 NW. This site is the former Tri -City American Legion that has since sold the building and <br />no longer is in operation. The Planning Commission held a public hearing and discussed the <br />proposed Special Use Permit. Three residents provided testimony. The Commission <br />unanimously recommended approval of the Special Use Permit, subject to 10 <br />22, 2011 Page 5 of 10 <br />Council Business <br />1.
