Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chair Norton. II. Roll Call Present: Commissioners: Frischman, Lundberg, Parker, Trevorrow, Weber, Director of Parks and Recreation, Sandy Breuer. Absent: Commissioners: Heinrich, Jacobsen, Council Liaison Burg Also Present: Facilities Manager, Brad Martens; City Planner, Janice Gundlach; Ramsey County Property Manager, Bruce Thompson. III. Minutes of February 2, 2011 MOTION BY JERED WEBER, SECONDED BY ADAM PARKER, TO APPROVED THE FEBRUARY 2, 2011 MINUTES AS SUBMITTED. MOTION CARRIED. IV. Public Hearing A. None Scheduled V. Old Business A. None Scheduled VI. New Business A. Ramsey County Library Site Plan—Bruce Thompson Brad Martens introduced Bruce Thompson of the Library Commission who gave a presentation to the Parks, Recreation and Environmental Commission. Questions from the Commission: • Will there be a designated teen space such as Roseville has? No. There will not be a Wii or PS3 area as Roseville has. • Will there be signage for the book drop off area, to help with traffic flow? It will be a one way. Martens stated that we don't know yet how the traffic flow will be affected. We will have to wait to see what happens to make any changes. Brad Martens gave a presentation on the Community Center(FSC) Questions from the Commission: • Will network be secure or unsecure network. Secure network that is operated within the Ramsey County Library system. Have to be within a certain vicinity. Martens mentioned that this is already a capability. We have wireless internet. No log-in is necessary. • Inquiry about the possibility of being open more hours. Breuer mentioned that the hours stated on the Ramsey County information sheet may have a typo because they do not add up to 35 hours.
