14. New Brighton City Code, Section 6-141 is amended as follows: <br />6-141. Long Term Permit. <br />A permit must be obtained if any excepted use specified in Section 6-139 is proposed <br />to be housed, displayed, or otherwise operated within the City for more than seven <br />days. The City Council shall be responsible for issuing the permit and may attach <br />conditions in addition to those specified in Section 6-140 for the purpose of protecting <br />the public health, safety, and welfare. <br />15. New Brighton City Code, Section 6-142 is amended as follows: <br />c. 6-142. Additional Conditions. <br />I permits, whether granted in accordance with Section 6-140 or Section 6-141 shall include <br />#se additional conditions: <br />The owner or caretaker of large animal shall be responsible for the conduct or control of <br />animals. <br />The owner and caretaker of large animals shall be responsible for the care and maintenance <br />he animals and the provision of food, water, and shelter in accordance with Minnesota <br />Lutes, Section 343.20 346.20 through 343.37 346.36, inclusive. <br />No use of large animals shall create a public nuisance. <br />16. New Brighton City Code is amended by adding the following new Article 7 to <br />6 as follows: <br />Article 7. Potentially Dangerous and Dangerous Dogs <br />6-144. Declaration of Dangerous or Potentially Dangerous Dogs. <br />Adoption by Reference. Except as otherwise provided in Sections 6-144 to 6-151, the <br />ilatory and procedural provisions of Minn. Stat. § 347.50 to 347.565 are adopted by <br />Declaration by Police or Animal Control. A public safety officer or Animal Control <br />cer may declare a dog to be dangerous or potentially dangerous. <br />Exceptions. <br />A. The provisions of Sections 6-144 to 6-151 do not apply to dogs used by law <br />enforcement officials for police work. <br />ff"VIUVAIMI-� <br />
