Mr. LeFevere <br />reported he would look into the number of commissioners required for the Planning Commission. <br />Councdmember Burg stated that some ofthe policies the Council adopted related to the Advisory <br />Commissions have not been in the best interest ofthe ==unity. Councilmember Phillips suggested a <br />worlcsession be scheduled to address some ofthe questions related to the issue. <br />Motion by councr7member Burg, seconded by Coundirnember Phillips to waive the reading and adopt <br />the resolution appointing volunteers to serve on the City's various Advisory Commissions, and also ask <br />staff to bring ordinance to future worksession for review. <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays - Motion Carried <br />Commission Liaison Reports, Announcements and Updates <br />Dean Lotter <br />City Manager Lotter reported he will be working on the amendments to the lease with Ramsey <br />County. Mr. Lotter will be attending the upcoming Twin City North Chamber of Commerce <br />meeting at Brightondale Senior Center in New Brighton. Also he will be attending a legislative <br />discussion at the Shorewood in Fridley regarding inter -governmental aide; specifically LGA. <br />Gina Bauman <br />Councilmember Bauman reported she attended the EDC meeting March 156. Out of eight firms <br />contacted for developeribrokerage services, four submitted RFPs. The EDC will be <br />interviewing the two developers and two brokerage firms; March 24`n and March 29h. <br />Councilmember Bauman stated she feels all the EDC member expressed their commitment to <br />the work of the commission. <br />Mary Burg <br />Nothing to report. <br />David Phillips <br />Councilmember Phillips reported the Mayor attended the Planning Commission March 15`n. <br />Char Samuelson <br />Councilmember Samuelson reported the Public Safety Commission will meet March 30`n <br />There are 40 participants in the Citizen's Police Academy.
