NWQ Names
February 25, 2011
Page 2
Options
While it is important to find a new name to help "rebrand" the NWQ, it is important to
select something that respects the community's history, citizen feedback and has
market appeal. Here some options to consider:
1) It might be helpful to get developer/broker feedback on the names. We
anticipate reviewing the developer/broker proposals with the EDC in March
and then forwarding a recommendation to Council in April. Once a
developer/broker team is selected, we could discuss the concepts to get
their input.
2) We may also want to give APi, DSi/Shavlik and Stuart Companies an
opportunity to weigh-in on the names.
3) As a final step, we could ask the public to vote on the final list. This process
might generate additional public support for the re-branding effort.
We look forward to discussing this matter further with Council on Tuesday evening.
