We will be posting information on our website. o 7 trees were donated to parks this year. o Library is scheduled to start construction the week of June 6. The library has a place on their website to sign up to receive e-mail info about the library. Discussion took place whether the Commission will meet in July. Last year we did meet because we were working through the service level reallocation. The Commission decided that if there was a need to meet, they would meet on July 13 (rather than July 6). If no urgent business presents itself, the July meeting would be cancelled. Breurer shared that to her knowledge, there were no eggs addled.No nests were found. Breuer stated she would like to meet with those who worked with the addling process to get a feel if we should continue this next year. The meeting would probably take place in the fall. Frischman inquired if there is a way to monitor comments from players at the golf course related to the geese on the course. She stated she heard comments at the golf course that would lead her to believe that the geese problem could prevent players from coming to the course. Breuer stated we could develop a form for people with geese concerns to complete. Trevorrow inquired about the Trails Committee and why it was disbanded. Council Liaison Phillips responded that the Trails Committee was not disbanded, it was folded into the Parks, Recreation and Environmental Commission. The Trails Committee was not part of the Parks, Recreation and Environmental Commission. The Council said trails discussions ought to be part of the Parks, Recreation and Environmental Commission; not a separate committee to study our trails. The key is that you had a group that wasn't appointed as a commission of the City by the City Council. You had people representing themselves as Park and Trails Committee members, you took attendance as if they were appointed by the City Council. You didn't just have a sub-committee of 3 or 4 members of the Parks, Recreation and Environmental Commission; you invited other citizens to join your committee. What the Council didn't like was that when the Council said do not deal with the Complete Streets last year, your committee said they were going to do it anyway. VIII..
