The Newsletter will be combined with the Parks & Recreation <br />brochure. <br />Gina Bauman <br />Councilmember Bauman reported the Planning Commission next meets July 19`h, noting there <br />will be a Public Hearing related to the Volunteers of America request. <br />Councilmember Bauman stated her disagreement with the recent day change of the Pubic <br />Safety Commission meeting, noting applicants should be more aware of their ability prior to <br />accepting their appointments. <br />Mary Burff <br />Councilmember Burg reported the Public Safety Commission next meets in September, due to <br />increased activity in the summer months related to National Night Out and Stockyard Days. <br />"Fill the Boot" campaign is July 12 through July 14`h. It was reported that the Public Safety <br />' Commission meeting will now meet on the last Monday of each month. <br />David Phillips <br />Councilmember Phillips reported the Parks, Recreation & Environmental Commission next <br />meets July 13'1, discussion will be related to the demolition of the Vermont Park Shelter. <br />Councilmember Phillips attended a Friends of the Library meeting, it was reported there are <br />several donation opportunities. <br />Char Samuelson <br />Councilmember Samuelson reported the EDC is scheduled to meet July 19th at 7:30 am. <br />It was announced the Mounds View Community Theater will be performing <br />"Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat." <br />Mayor Jacobsen <br />Mayor Jacobsen reported the One Book, One Community has formed a sub -committee to assist <br />with the selection of books.
