Jacobson,Director of Public Safety//ix <br /> CITY MANAGER'S APPROVAL: <br /> No comments to supplement this report Comments attached <br /> Recommendation: <br /> Approval of mitigation plan and provisional multiple dwelling license for the property L&L <br /> Properties located at 804 6th Street NW. <br /> Legislative History: <br /> A revision of City Code Chapter 13 Article 3 was enacted in February 2001 and allows for the <br /> issuance of a provisional license for a multiple dwelling that generates an average of over .5 <br /> police or fire calls per dwelling unit in the preceding six month period. . <br /> Financial Impact: <br /> L&L Properties will be required to pay for a six month provisional license fee. <br /> Explanation: <br /> As required by City Code Chapter 13, the New Brighton Department of Public Safety reviewed <br /> police and fire calls to all licensed, multiple dwelling housing units in the City of New Brighton <br /> for the period of January 1, 2011 through June 30, 2011, including the property described as <br /> L&L Properties 804 6th Street NW. The analysis revealed a level of.56 provisional calls for <br /> service per unit for the six month period of review. This level is in excess of.5 calls per unit as <br /> allowed under this ordinance. L&L Properties submitted a mitigation plan and based upon <br /> review of the document, staff recommends approval of the mitigation plan. Monthly reports will <br /> be required from the L&L Properties regarding progress on their mitigation plan. Staff will <br /> continue to monitor activity at the L&L Properties and work with representatives of the property <br /> during the provisional licensing period. <br /> A representative of L&L Properties was advised of the meeting to answer any questions <br /> regarding the property.
