8.4 The Board shall provide for the deployment and recovery of one or <br /> more AHIMTs to incidents as may be requested by another <br /> government unit under circumstances approved by the Board. <br /> 8.5 The Board shall prepare and approve an annual budget for the <br /> AHIMT. <br /> 8.6 The Board may purchase and maintain equipment necessary for the <br /> performance of its duties and the duties of the AHIMT. <br /> 8.7 The Board may enter into contractual delegations of authority with <br /> local, state, or Federal, government units for the purposes of <br /> conducting incident management operations within the jurisdiction of <br /> such units and such power may be delegated to designated incident <br /> commanders. <br /> 8.8 The Board may research and make recommendations to the <br /> Participants regarding other matters related to the AHIMT's purposes. <br /> 8.9 The Board may consult with persons knowledgeable in all hazards <br /> incident management and response, such as research organizations, <br /> educational institutions, other political subdivisions, regulatory <br /> organizations, technical experts, and any other persons who can <br /> provide pertinent information. <br /> 8.10 The Board may cooperate or contract with the State of Minnesota, <br /> any political subdivision, federal agencies or private or public <br /> organizations to accomplish the purposes for which it is organized. <br /> 8.11 The Board may contract with other governmental units to provide <br /> the services of the AHIMT. The Board may enter into a mutual aid <br /> agreement with other similar AHIMTs. <br /> 8.12 The Board may contract for or purchase such insurance as the <br /> Board deems necessary for the protection of the Board, the <br /> Participants, the Response Team, and its property. <br /> 8.13 The Board may accumulate reserve funds for the purposes herein <br /> mentioned and may invest funds of the Organization not currently <br /> needed for its operations. <br /> 8.14 The Board may collect money from participants, subject to section <br /> 10.2, and from any other source(s) authorized by law. <br /> 8.15 The Board may make contracts, employ consultants, incur <br /> expenses and make expenditures necessary and incidental to the <br /> effectuation of its purposes and powers, in conformance with the <br /> requirements applicable to contracts and purchases of all the <br /> Participants. <br /> Final 11- 23,2010 4 <br />
