a The Ramsey County Library grand opening is scheduled for October 29th. Work on the
parking lot expansion is being done now. There has been a lot of good community
involvement in raising additional funds for"extras" for the library.
Old Business
Director Jacobson reported two buildings at Silver Lake Flats are now empty; the bathrooms and
kitchens are being renovated.
All Commissioners need to return their signed Acknowledgement form for the updated copy of
the City of New Brighton Commissioner/Committee Member Orientation Packet they received.
Please get these turned in to Julie.
There was discussion regarding the meeting night for the Public Safety Commission. It was
confirmed to change the Public Safety Commission meeting to the last Monday of the month.
However for the month of October since the Public Safety Commission meeting would fall on
Halloween, it was decided to move the October meeting to Monday, October 24th.
New Business
Commissioner Lamp inquired about fire call reports. Director Jacobson stated that fire calls are
included in the monthly public safety report he completes. However, he will check to see what
other fire call information may be beneficial.
Commissioner Allen noted the crime activity reports for June, July and August and how the
crime numbers continue to trend down. He asked Director Jacobson to please mention our
thanks to the department from the Public Safety Commission.
Adjourn
Commissioner Hollimon motioned to adjourn the September 2011 Public Safety Commission
meeting; seconded by Commissioner Bredenbeck. The meeting adjourned at 7:47 pm.
