Comments attached _ <br /> Recommendation: <br /> Accept the donation of$1,000 from Ms. Frances R. LeClair of 220 Windsor Lane in the City of <br /> New Brighton for use by the Police Explorer program. <br /> Financial Impact: <br /> $1,000 donation to the Police Explorer program. <br /> Explanation: <br /> Resident Frances LeClair of 220 Windsor Lane was served by our Agency on April 1st. Ms. <br /> LeClair stated to the Officers that she was so thankful that she was going to donate $1,000 to <br /> New Brighton DPS. On April 2nd, Ms. LeClair contacted Public Safety and gave PSO Zuehlke <br /> a card stating "You have so much to be thanked for—so I am putting money where my mouth is, <br /> thank you". And, she included a check for $1,000 to the New Brighton Police Department. <br /> Ms. LeClair is 92 years young. <br /> The Police Explorers operate on a very small budget of$300 annually and utilize donations and <br /> fundraisers to cover their expenses for training and conferences.
