f! CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA ORDINANCE NO. The City Council of the City of New Brighton does hereby amend the New Brighton Code of Ordinances as follows: Section 1. Chapter 2, Article IV, Division 5, Section 2-110 - 2-112 is amended to read: � I Division 5. CABLE "^VISOR" COMMITTEE COMMUNICATIONS ADVISORY COMMISSION Sec. 2-110. Establishment, The Cable Communications Advisory Commission is hereby established. Sec. 2-111. Purpose As an advisory committee to the New Brighton City Council. the mission of the New IP Brighton Communications Advisory Commission is to build communications links between New Brighton citizens, businesses and local government and to promote active participation in New Brighton community life through the use of present and evolving forms of electronic communication. Sec. 2-111. Duties and Responsibilities • The duties and responsibilities of the Commission shall be: (a) To advise the City Council and City Manager's Office on ways to improve the quality of municipal programming (channel 16) and bulletin board: (1) Through random and systematic viewing of channel offerings; (2) Through community survey or call-in techniques; (3) Through comparisons with other municipal channel offerings; and {�},(5) Identifying opportunities to share programming among other municipal producers or public agencies; and (2) Producing programming with the assistance of New Brighton and North Suburban Community Television staff, equipment, facilities, and volunteers. (6) By recommending programming standards to the City Council and insure programming on channel 16 meets Council approved standards. (7) By producing good quality programming on channel 16. (8) By encouraging and assisting good quality program production for channel 16 by City Departments, other community organizations and citizens.
