Chapter 2, Article IV, Division 5, Section 2-110 - 2-112 is amended to <br /> read: <br /> � I <br /> Division 5. CABLE "^VISOR" COMMITTEE COMMUNICATIONS ADVISORY <br /> COMMISSION <br /> Sec. 2-110. Establishment, <br /> The Cable Communications Advisory Commission is hereby established. <br /> Sec. 2-111. Purpose <br /> As an advisory committee to the New Brighton City Council. the mission of the New <br /> IP Brighton Communications Advisory Commission is to build communications links <br /> between New Brighton citizens, businesses and local government and to promote <br /> active participation in New Brighton community life through the use of present and <br /> evolving forms of electronic communication. <br /> Sec. 2-111. Duties and Responsibilities <br /> • <br /> The duties and responsibilities of the Commission shall be: <br /> (a) To advise the City Council and City Manager's Office on ways to improve the <br /> quality of municipal programming (channel 16) and bulletin board: <br /> (1) Through random and systematic viewing of channel offerings; <br /> (2) Through community survey or call-in techniques; <br /> (3) Through comparisons with other municipal channel offerings; and <br /> {�},(5) Identifying opportunities to share programming among other municipal <br /> producers or public agencies; and <br /> (2) Producing programming with the assistance of New Brighton and North <br /> Suburban Community Television staff, equipment, facilities, and <br /> volunteers. <br /> (6) By recommending programming standards to the City Council and insure <br /> programming on channel 16 meets Council approved standards. <br /> (7) By producing good quality programming on channel 16. <br /> (8) By encouraging and assisting good quality program production for <br /> channel 16 by City Departments, other community organizations and <br /> citizens. <br />
