Fewer regularly tune into channel 16. A lot of good <br /> information is getting shared with a vary small portion of the City. <br /> The City employs a host of other strategies to communicate with citizens: "InThe Neighborhood" newsletter, <br /> press releases to the local newspapers, the quarterly Parks Brochure, targeted newsletters for crime prevention <br /> and road construction, and visits and presentations from elected and appointed staff. <br /> It would seem some of the energy and success the CAC members have put into cable television programming <br /> could be applied to advising the City on its public relations efforts, facilitating feedback from citizens concerning <br /> these activities, and promoting citizen understanding of and participation in community life. A list of possible <br /> activities follow in the draft revisions to the City ordinance which creates the purpose and duties and <br /> responsibilities of the Cable Advisory Commission (underscore indicates new language, strikeout indicates deleted <br /> language). <br /> I <br />
