HEAD'S APPROVAL: N/A <br /> MANAGER'S REVIEW/RECOMMENDATION: <br /> No comments to supplement this report* Comments belo attached <br /> EXPLANATION/SUMMARY (attach supplemental sheets as necessary): <br /> The Parks Department purchased a 1/2 ton pickup truck after consultation with the City Manager. When the <br /> truck was delivered it was discovered that tax and delivery charges brought the cost over the $15,000 limit so <br /> the Department is requesting Council confirmation of the purchase. <br /> The 1997 Parks budget contains a $12,000 allocation for a Parks Department sub compact pickup truck. The <br /> A197 budget also contains a $20,000 allocation for purchase of tree spade. The Parks Department needs to <br /> grade the sub compact pick up to a 1/2 ton in order to provide more flexibility in moving personnel and <br /> materials.
