Maurie answered. <br /> MOTION TO DISCONTINUE DISCUSSION OF THE INNSBRUCK PATH BY <br /> HEINRICH AND SECONDED BY KOUBSKY. MOTION CARRIED. <br /> c. Pond issue <br /> Gunderman asked when the pond will be completed due to some concerns with <br /> flooding. Maurie replied that the pond was approved by the Council for Iate <br /> summer, early fall deadline and there were minor improvements yet to be <br /> done. Both Maurie and Matt spoke to Katherine Harstad about this pond <br /> issue. She had replied that it would be done within a week or two. A pump was <br /> installed but had ran out of gas. It was mentioned by Katherine Harstad that the <br /> work would begin sometime after Memorial Day. Maurie stated he felt the staff <br /> was doing the best they could do under the circumstances. Gunderman suggested <br /> a motion or resolution be made by the Park Board to get this project done. <br /> Gunderman asked that a motion be made so that this issue could be addressed at <br /> next Council meeting, which is Monday, June 10, 1996. It was felt by all <br /> appropriate pressure should be applied. The recommendation was made to <br /> to have Council give a deadline to complete the project or the City pursue a <br /> legal remedy. Dave asked how much work is left, two weeks? Everyone <br /> mutually agreed that a week to a week and a half would be a reasonable <br /> amount of time for Harstad to finish this project. <br /> A MOTION TO HAVE CITY COUNCIL ADVISE HARSTAD TO COMPLETE <br /> THIS PROJECT BY KOUBSKY, SECONDED BY WENDT. MOTION <br /> CARRIED. <br /> V. New Business <br /> A. 1997-2001 CIP <br /> Heinrich asked whatever happened to 2001 regarding CIP. Kinzie, Heinrich, <br /> Brewer and Trevorrow all were asking what to do with the budget for 2001. <br /> Hidden Oaks playground is in dire need of new playground equipment, slide <br /> started to break up. In-line skating rink will be placed in the 1997 budget. There <br /> were two locations that were discussed when building the in-line skating rink: 1) <br /> Family Service Center and 2) at the hockey rink at Freedom Park. An advantage <br /> of building the in-line skating rink at the Family Service Center is the fact that <br /> there are many people who come and go--lots of exposure. The facility also <br /> contains air-conditioning, showers, and first-aid supplies. Trevorrow believed the <br /> hockey association doesn't have any idea there could possibly be an in-line <br />
