41/ Agreement 96012 <br /> June 21, 1996 <br /> RAMSEY COUNTY <br /> COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT <br /> WITH THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> Agreement between Ramsey County Project MP 057 <br /> the County of Ramsey New Brighton Project No. 95-06 <br /> and the City of New Brighton <br /> Relocation of the Pike Lake <br /> Channel Storm Sewer Trunk <br /> Line Outlet Estimated Costs : <br /> Construction $91, 065 . 00 <br /> Engineering $28, 100 . 00 <br /> R/W and Tree Replacement $3 , 550 . 00 <br /> Total $122, 715 . 00 <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, by and between the City of New Brighton, <br /> Minnesota, a municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as the <br /> "City, " and Ramsey County, a political subdivision of the State of <br /> Minnesota, hereinafter referred to as the "County" ; <br /> • WITNESSETH: <br /> WHEREAS, Repeated flooding has occurred at the intersection of <br /> Long Lake Road and Kari Lane; and <br /> WHEREAS, Long Lake Road is under the jurisdiction of the County <br /> and Kari Lane is under the jurisdiction of the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City and County mutually agree that it is in the <br /> public' s best interest to reduce the flooding frequency; and <br /> WHEREAS, engineering studies have shown that the relocation of <br /> the storm sewer trunk line outlet to a point downstream of the Pike <br /> Lake Channel weir will help reduce the flooding frequency; and <br /> WHEREAS, plans for the proposed storm sewer outlet relocation <br /> have been presented to and approved by the City. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY MUTUALLY AGREED AS FOLLOWS : <br /> 1 . The County shall prepare the necessary plans, <br /> specifications, estimates and proposals and perform the construction <br /> inspection and documentation. <br /> 2 . The City shall advertise for bids, open bids and with the <br /> 0 concurrence of the County, award, execute and administer the contract <br /> for construction. <br /> 96012-1 <br />
