HEAD'S APPROVAL: NA <br /> MANAGER'S REVIEW/RECOMMENDATION: <br /> No comments to supplement this report 4104Comments below/attached <br /> EXPLANATION/SUMMARY (attach supplemental sheets as necessary): <br /> As explained in the attached memo, the Parks Department has need for assistance in two small trail projects. <br /> The grants must be applied for prior to March 31, 1997 and require Council approval for submittal. <br /> Each of the grants require a cash match of$5,000.00, however, the Council is only being asked at this time to <br /> authorize submittal of the grant. The projects would be done in 1998 and would only be done if the two <br /> rojects could be included in the 1998 budget. <br /> ecommendation <br /> To authorize staff to submit a $5,000.00 grant request through the National Trail Funding Act and a $5,000.00 <br /> grant request through the 1997 Cooperative Trail Grants Program. <br /> attachment <br /> Maurice H.
