(one meeting estimated) <br /> 4.0 Revise/Update Plans <br /> The purpose of this task will be to revise and update all plan elements. <br /> Subtasks will include the following: <br /> 4.1 Update Land Eke including existing rnnditinns, as prnvided by the CITY, and future <br /> plans <br /> 4.2 Community Vision Pl w (nearly cuutplete) (his will be an analysis which identifies the <br /> natural, historical, and cultural characteristics which define the City, the development of <br /> patterns and the formulation of a vision plan which will include graphic illustrations of <br /> concepts, patterns, and key features that reflect New Brighton's spirit and character in both <br /> the built and natural environments. <br /> 4.3 Transportation Plan. CONSULTANT will be responsible for updating the Transportation <br /> Plan. The CITY will commission a traffic consultant to prepare projected traffic volumes, <br /> • impact on regional roadway system and improvement recommendations. CONSULTANT <br /> will develop traffic calming recommendations. <br /> 4.4 Public Transit Plan. This will include an evaluation of existing transit services, the <br /> development of ideas for improving service to the City of New Brighton, and a plan for <br /> future public transit service. This will be done by CONSULTANT. <br /> 4.5 Parks, Trails and Open Space. CITY Staff will update the current parks and open space <br /> inventory. The CONSULTANT will develop plans that are in keeping with the policy intent <br /> of the Metropolitan Council. <br /> 4.6 Ho_ysi{►g Flap. The CONSULTANT will complete the housing plan to be based an the <br /> information to be provided by the CITY including the City's current Housing Action PIan. <br /> The plan will identity needs, goals, policies, and action steps or strategies to satisfy the <br /> City's housing needs. <br /> 4.7 Redevelopment Plan_ This will include the mapping of potential areas to be considered for <br /> redevelopment. <br /> 4.8 Econonjc Development, (optional) <br /> 4.9 Water Supply Plan. (CITY responsibility) <br /> 4.10 Sewer and Surface Water_Kmagetnent Plans.(to be provided by the CITY) <br /> 4,11 lieethia. During the course of Task 4.0 there will be a total of eight (3) seven fT) Task <br /> Force meetings; three (3) informal reviews with the public including two (2) neighborhood <br /> planning events(one is already completed),and review of the draft comprehensive plan;ten <br /> four (44 4) meetings with Boards and Commissions.
