5.0 Update Plan Text and Maps(draft plan). <br /> The purpose of this tabk will to to talak'text revisions and fnalL a the utapM. <br /> Subtasks will include the following: <br /> 5.1 Rewrite Text. Retaining as much of the existing policy framework as possible, the <br /> CONSULTANT will rewrite the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> 5.2 Prepare Final Graphics. The CONSULTANT will prepare the final graphics for the <br /> Comprehensive fin. <br /> 5.3 Preparation and Updating of Implementation Strategies including guidance on official <br /> controls, redevelopment strategies, Capital Improvements Program (to be the responsibility <br /> of the CITY), and such other strategies as may result from the comprehensive planning <br /> process. <br /> 5.4 Meetings with CITY Staff. (two meetings estimated) <br /> 6.0 Seek Apptuvals <br /> 'the purpose of this task will be to gain approvals from the CITY and the Metropolitan Council. <br /> Sabtaske will include the following: <br /> 6.1 Review of the Draft Plan with City department heads in group session. <br /> • 6.2 Review of the elan informally with the Planning Commission and City Council (two <br /> meetings are anticipated to review the draft plan). <br /> 6.3 The condUcx pf one(1)formal joint public hearing in accordance with State Statute ro allow <br /> for public review and comment on the draft plan. <br /> 6.4 Review of the draft plate with.Metropolitan Council staff(optional service) <br /> 6.5 Preparation of revisions to the comprehensivr.plan draft based cn public hearing input. <br /> 6.6 Meetings with CrfY Staff. (two meetings estimated) <br /> 7.0 Finalize Plan <br /> Upon completion of the public hearing process,a recommendation by the Planning Commission, <br /> adoption by the CITY Council, and acceptance by the Metropolitan Council, the final <br /> comprehensive plan will be completed. The CONSULTANT will prepare one camera-ready final <br /> plan document in whatever format is desired by the CITY at a cost to be determined. <br /> R. TIMELINE <br /> All work on the Comprehensive Plan will be completed by September of 1999_ <br /> C.
