The applicant has <br /> submitted a letter(attached) stating that they would like to have <br /> the exit door open during the drying cycle, and would be using a <br /> dryer with a noise reduction package, and would shut the car <br /> wash down between 11:00 pm.And 5:00 am. <br /> Staff has concern over allowing such a device,as the <br /> responsibility for monitoring of the decibel levels then falls upon <br /> staff and the police department. We are simply not equipped to <br /> measure the decibel levels should a complaint be registered. As <br /> such,the Planning Commission upheld the above mentioned <br /> condition that the car wash exit door be closed. If the Council <br /> uphold this requirement,the car wash time would increase by <br /> two minutes for each wash in order to complete the drying cycle <br /> with the door closed. <br /> 17.
