TRAFFIC STUDY
Intersection of 4th Street NW and 12th Avenue NW
INTRODUCTION
This traffic study is in response to a petition from the residents dated March 29, 2012 requesting
the installation signage to control speeding at the corner of 4th Street NW and 12th Avenue NW.
The signage request was in response to the increase in the volume and speed of traffic during
warmer months due to activities at Hansen Park. This traffic study was directed to the Public
Safety Commission for their recommendation by the City Council on May 8, 2012.
Enclosed is a copy of the petition along with a map indicating the households who signed the
petition.
FIELD INSPECTION
4th Street NW and 12th Avenue NW are both residential, neighborhood streets which intersect at
an uncontrolled right angle.
