Alliance
Benefit Group and HealthPartners have reviewed the alternatives and here are the
responses:
1. The current eligibility of the health plan are full-time and working 40 hours a
week. The plan would allow for the eligibility to change, such as permanent part-
time, 30 hours a week,20 hours a week, etc.
2. The understanding is the City would not make an employer contribution to non-
full-time employees working 40 hours but would have the plan available to those
who choose to participate. Unfortunately,NJPA and HealthPartners have a
provision within the contract that states the employer is required to contribute
50%of the employee's premium. This provision would not allow you to add the
other class of employees.
3. The cost of the plan is hard to quantify due to not knowing the exact number that
would come on to the plan, however, currently if there is a 1O%increase in the
overall pool rates would need to be re-calculated. Currently the underwriters are
reviewing to see if they would have a similar provision per employer within the
pool.
If you have any questions, or need further explanation, please give me a call 1-800-880-
4015 or e-mail kdulitz(crabg-mn.com.
Sin • ,
Kevi ..
Consultant
COMPENSATION AND BENEFIT PROFESSIONALS
Securities offered through NFP Securities,Inc.,a Broker/Dealer and Memher FINRA/SIPC
Investment Advisory Services offered through ABC Investment Services,Inc.,a Registered Investment Advisor
NFP Securities,Inc is not affiliated with ADO Investment Services,Inc.or Alliance Benefit Group Financial Services Corp.
