Allina Health Update
Mr. Dave Matteson noted that the move of Allina Health from the Lake Johanna location
prompted this opportunity for Allina Health to come to this meeting and give a brief update on
all the changes.
Mr. Brian LaCroix,Emergency Medical Services President, began the presentation by going
through a background of Allina Health which consists of 11 hospitals and 82 clinics, covering
specialty medical services that provide Hospice Care, Oxygen and Home Medical Equipment,
Medical Lab Services and Pharmacies. He reported residents in the Lake Johanna area felt this location was too disruptive to
their neighborhood. Mr. Pintar stated Allina Health was responding to a high call load out of a
quiet station. Since the fit was not good, Allina Health went back to the Lexington/694 area and
the Mounds View location off 35W& County Road 10.
Mr. Jeff Czyson, 911 Operations Director, spoke next about the response time components. He
noted that speed is a factor; however, patient care and patient outcome are more important than
just driving fast.
