Paetznick, Deputy Director of Public Safety <br /> CITY MANAGER'S APPROVAL: <br /> No comments to supplement this report Comments attached <br /> Recommendation: <br /> Approval of Resolution and Consent Or er Imposing a Civil Penalty of$1,000 for Glory Days <br /> Sports Bar and Grill. <br /> Legislative History: <br /> N/A <br /> Financial Impact: <br /> Civil penalty of$1,000 will be received within 10 days. <br /> Explanation: <br /> The City of New Brighton conducts alcohol compliance checks twice per year. The goal of <br /> conducting compliance checks is to reduce the availability of alcoholic beverages to those who <br /> are under the age of 21. <br /> Glory Days Sports Bar and Grill sold alcoholic beverages to a buyer under the age of 21 during <br /> police supervised compliance checks on May 21, 2012. The employee who sold during those <br /> compliance checks has been convicted of criminal charges for those violations. <br /> I have communicated with Ms. Pamela Lynne, owner of Glory Days Sports Bar and Grill. Ms. <br /> Lynne has demonstrated remorse for the sale of alcoholic beverages by her staff. Further, Ms. <br /> Lynne has retrained her staff and implemented policy for reducing the likelihood of a further <br /> violation.
