Economic Development Commission Annual Report 5.Economic Development Commission Annual Paul Zisla,Chair of the Economic Development Commission,discussed the role of the EDC and noted the Report group met seven times in 2012. He indicated significant policy issues were discussed at these meetings with an emphasis on The Exchange. The group worked with Staff on development criteria while also creating a tool for evaluating future development proposals. Mr.Zisla commented the EDC reviewed and analyzed development proposals from Pulte Homes and API. Mayor Jacobsen thanked Mr.Zisla's for his continued years of service to the community. Councilmember Jacobsen also thanked Mr.Zisla and the entire EDC for their work on behalf of the City. Councilmember Bauman commented the EDC was growing and she appreciated the leadership Mr.Zisla and Staffprovided to this group. Councilmember Burg also thanked Mr.Zisla for sharing his expertise with the City and for his leadership on the EDC. 6.Northwest Youth 6. Northwest Youth and Family Services Annual Report and Family Services Annual Report Jerry Hromatka,Northwest Youth and Family Services,offered the Council a summary of services provided by his organization to the City of New Brighton. He explained his focus was on 5-21 year olds and noted 4,500 youth,families and individuals were served on a yearly basis. He discussed the three main program areas were mental health services,youth development and day treatment programs.Mr.Hromatka reviewed the highlights from 2012. He thanked the Council for their continued support and looked forward to 2013. Councilmember Burg asked if Mr.Hromatka had an important event planned in February. Mr.Hromatka explained the Service to Youth Awards would be held in February with the school districts to recognize volunteers. He stated a Leadership Lunch would be held in May. Councilmember Samuelson thanked Mr.Hromatka for the programs and services provided by Northwest Consent Agenda Youth and Family Services to New Brighton youth. 1.Consolidated Vouchers 140973 through 14126.
