June 25, 2013 Page 5 of 5 <br />curb side pickup of tree debris given the severity of the damage caused by the recent storm. <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays - Motion Carried <br />Commission Liaison Reports, Announcements and Updates <br />Dean Lotter <br />City Manager Lotter reported he attended the League of Minnesota Cities Conference last <br />week. He discussed the workshops he attended. He thanked all City staff for their actions <br />after the recent storm as each lift station went down with the power outages and no City <br />services were affected. <br />Gina Bauman <br />Councilmember Bauman indicated the Public Safety Commission met last night. Pedestrian <br />safety near the Dairy Queen was discussed and a traffic study was requested from Ramsey <br />County. She thanked the Public Safety for their participation in the 2013 Torch Run. It was <br />noted the Public Safety Commission would not meet again until September 30th <br />Paul Jacobsen <br />Councilmember Jacobsen reported that he EDC met on Tuesday, June 18th. He noted future <br />meetings would be held on the third Wednesday of the month. He explained he attended the <br />League of Minnesota Cities Conference and he appreciated the discussions he had with <br />neighboring community officials. He congratulated St. Anthony for being the Collaborative <br />City of Minnesota. <br />Char Samuelson <br />Councilmember Samuelson reported the PREC has not met since early June. It was noted the <br />group would meet again on July 10th at 6:30 p.m. at the Community Center. <br />Mary Burg <br />Councilmember Burg reported the Planning Commission met last Tuesday and discussed the <br />Special Use Permit and Nonconforming Use Permit to construction a detached garage, which <br />was approved by the Council this evening. The Planning Commission would meet again on <br />July 16th <br />Mayor Jacobsen <br />Mayor Jacobsen thanked Chris Wolla for taking care of the sink hole at Sunny Square.
