September 24, 201= <br />Exchange redevelopment area. Report No. 13 -228. Resolution No. 13 -075. 1 <br />City Manager Lotter stated Community Development staff would present a report to Council <br />on this item. <br />City Planner Gundlach stated this request consists of the vacation of a 10' drainage and utility <br />easement that was dedicated along the northern 10' of Lot 1, Block 4, Long Lake Landing <br />within the New Brighton Exchange redevelopment area. The easement needs to be vacated so <br />it does not conflict with the proposed plat of Enclave at New Brighton Exchange. All <br />necessary drainage and utility easements will be rededicated with the Enclave at New Brighton <br />Exchange plat. Currently no utilities are located within the easement area as Lot 1, Block 4, <br />Long Lake Landing was never developed. Staff recommended the Council hold a public <br />hearing and adopt a Resolution approving the vacation of a 10' drainage and utility easement <br />along the northern 10' of Lot 1, Block 4, Long Lake Landing. <br />Motion by Councilmember Jacobsen, seconded by Councilmember Burg to open the <br />Public Hearing. <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays - Motion Carried <br />The Public Hearing was opened at 7:19 p.m. <br />Mayor Jacobsen asked for additional comments, there were none. <br />Motion by Councilmember Bauman, seconded by Councilmember Jacobsen to close the <br />Public Hearing. <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays - Motion Carried <br />The Public Hearing was closed at 7:19 p.m. <br />Motion by Councilmember Jacobsen seconded by Councihnember Samuelson to adopt the <br />Resolution approving the vacation of a 10' drainage and utility easement along the <br />northern 10' of Lot 1, Block 4, Long Lake Landing. <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays -Motion Carried <br />Council Business <br />1. Consideration of a Preliminary & Final Plat, Preliminary & Final Planned Unit <br />Development, and a Zoning Code Amendment to facilitate development of 89 <br />single family homes and 32 townhomes on approximately 27 acres of land on <br />the west side of Old Highway 8 NW within the New Brighton Exchange <br />redevelopment area. Report No.13 -229. <br />Resolution No. 13 -076. Ordinance No. 818. <br />City Manager Lotter commented it was exciting to see this development finally being accomplished between <br />the City and Pulte Homes on the New Brighton Exchange property . He appreciated the cooperative efforts <br />that have been exhibited by Pulte Homes throughout the entire negotiation process. <br />City Planner Gundlach reported the applicant is requesting several land use approvals to allow <br />for the development of 27 acres of land within New Brighton Exchange into 89 single - family <br />homes and 32 townhomes, including dedication of public roadways.
