Currently the women's and men's locker room is at the west end. • Convert the west end women's locker room area into a family lounge area. • A new large window is suggested on the west end with a padded bench ledge. One window on the south wall of west entry another is actually in the vestibule. Lounge /Private Family Area • Subdivided the women's restroom into 3 separate rooms; two family restrooms and a personal needs room. Each room would be dedicated for families; parent and child(ren). • Adult size and children's lower, wall- mounted toilet in restroom. • Taller sink and shorter sink. • Diaper changing station and a baby holder. • Handicapped designed. Have mirrors around sinks. • Room with a large chair with side table for nursing mothers, diaper changing station, baby chair station and sink. • Alongside that is another adult and child toilet facility with high and low sinks. Enter through the side so we can keep the child sink and have large wall space for art work. The west entry would keep the exposed aggregate. The lounge area could be carpet, wood or vinyl. Carpeting would help keep the sound level down. Men's Locker Room Kept the location for the men's locker room. • Replace the floor and wall tile. • Under mount sinks would be replaced with a nice countertop and towel dispensers. • Entrance door would be moved. • One ADA compliant shower 3 others. • New hardware for the shower heads and add shelving for shampoo, etc. • Lockers would be about 15 x 15. Split benches. Maybe put some durable carpet in there. Chair Frischman inquired if the wall in the lounge area could be removed so you could see kids in the Eagles Nest. Director Breuer stated this was discussed in length with the Focus Group and they chose not to do it for a couple reasons. 1. The added cost to remove the wall and add the necessary beam. 2. We want the parents in the Eagles Nest with their kids. Existing Men and Women's Common Restrooms By using the stage area in the gym, taking out storage area and building a new wall, we have the ability to move the women's locker room across from the front desk. This has a safer feel for users. When you enter, you are in the locker area with 47 lockers. There are 4 showers. The toilet facilities 3
