A� <br />city of <br />BRIGHTON <br />the city that works for you <br />Council Worksession <br />February 4, 2014 <br />5:00 pm <br />Present: Councilmember Gina Bauman <br />Councilmember Mary Burg <br />Councilmember Paul Jacobsen <br />Councilmember Brian Strub <br />Absent: Mayor Dave Jacobsen <br />Staff in Attendance: Dean Lotter, Grant Fernelius, Janice Gundlach <br />Guests in Attendance: Casey Hankinson -Ryan Companies, Craig Lien - Colliers <br />Update form Ryan Companies & Colliers <br />Director Fernelius explained that in 2011 the City partnered with Colliers & Ryan for marketing and <br />development purposes. Craig Lien, representing Colliers reported on the measures they have been taking to <br />market the New Brighton Exchange area. <br />Casey Hankinson reported that Cardiovascular Systems Inc. has expressed interested in expansion in New <br />Brighton. Director Fernelius reported that CSI is outgrowing their current space, as they recently received <br />FDA approval for a new device. CSI has gone through a RFP process earlier this year, and have narrowed <br />their search down to two sites, one of them being New Brighton Exchange. Timing would be a key indicator, <br />as CSI would like to occupy their building in November 2014. The Council talked briefly about the feasibility <br />of the project and the aggressive timeline. Hankinson stated that he feels his group is well qualified to work <br />with the timeline. Councilmember Bauman stated that the Council can be flexible to meet as needs arise <br />through the process. The Council thanked both Mr. Hankinson and Lien for their diligent effort. <br />The work session adjourned at 5:54 pm. <br />
