February 11, 2014 Page 4 of 5 <br />None. <br />Commission Liaison Reports, Announcements and Updates <br />Dean Lotter <br />City Manager Lotter had no update for the Council. <br />Gina Bauman <br />Councilmember Bauman commented the Public Safety Commission would meet on Monday, <br />February 24, 2014 where the crosswalk study would be discussed. She sent her condolences to <br />the Babbitt Family, noting Mr. Babbitt was a long time firefighter for the City of New <br />Brighton. She explained the Cable Commission continues negotiations with Comcast. <br />Paul Jacobsen <br />Councilmember Jacobsen reported the EDC would meet on February 19th at 7:30 a.m. in the <br />Council Worksession Chambers. <br />Mary Burg <br />Councilmember Burg reported she attended a League of Women Voter's Forum on February <br />10th. She encouraged the public to view the program and the wonderful speaker on CTV. <br />Brian Strub <br />Councilmember Strub explained the City had openings on each of its commissions and <br />encouraged residents interested in serving the community to contact City Hall for further <br />information. He discussed an upcoming Irondale Robotics team event. <br />Mayor Jacobsen <br />Mayor Jacobsen reported he was appointed to the Energy and Environmental Commission for <br />the National League of Cities. He was excited about the opportunity and looked forward to <br />offering the City of New Brighton a national voice. <br />Adiournment <br />Motion by Councilmember Bauman, seconded by Councilmember Jacobsen to adjourn <br />the meeting. <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays - Motion Carried, <br />Meeting adjourned at 7:34 p.m. <br />Dave Jacobsen, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Daniel A.
