System, our parking counts are planned not to exceed the minimum number of stalls required by
ordinance. Our total number of parking stalls provided includes the existing 21 street parking stalls
and another 87 to be provided on site. In the event that there is a need for additional onsite parking
in the future, our interior landscape parking islands not required for site drainage have been
included in our impervious calculations and may be paved at a later date if the need arises.
Landscaping:
Landscaping and planting have been designed for visual compatibility with the adjacent APi
Headquarters and compliance with local zoning ordinance requirements, including parking lot
screening using a combination of trees and shrubs.
Site Lighting:
The site and building will be illuminated similar to the existing headquarters building, which
utilizes a combination of architectural building fixtures and shielded site lighting fixtures. Site and
exterior building lighting will be controlled by photometric sensor(ON) and timer(OFF).
Exterior Material and Colors:
Our project has been designed to be visually compatible with the existing APi Headquarters
Building at 1100 Old Hwy 8 NW,including use of matching natural stone veneer, prefinished metal,
and architectural glazing assemblies. Rooftop equipment will be enclosed with a visually
compatible architectural sheet metal screening system.
LEED Certification and XCEL Energy Assistance Program
Our project,as designed,is on track to achieve a 30%energy performance improvement over the
baseline energy code compliant building. We have engaged energy consulting expertise and utility
company participation to help us in meeting these goals. We have also evaluated USGBC's LEED
Rating System and are still actively discussing its use on the project.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about the project.
Best regards,
Nor-Son,Inc.
Jesse Hopkins
Project Architect
Nor-Son,Inc.
