July 8, 2014 <br />City Manager Lotter reported the settlement hearing regarding the Army Enforcement Action <br />would be held tomorrow. He would be contacting the Mayor on the progress. He explained he <br />would be conducting interviews for the Finance Officer position on Thursday and Friday of <br />this week. It was noted staff would begin the 2015 draft budgeting process shortly. <br />Gina Bauman <br />Councilmember Bauman commented the Planning Commission would be meeting on Tuesday, <br />July 151h at 6:30 p.m. <br />Mary Burg <br />Councilmember Burg reported the Public Safety Commission would meet on Monday, July <br />21st at 6:30 p.m. The topic of discussion would be crosswalks. She encouraged the public to <br />take advantage of the Mounds View Community Theater production of Cinderella at the <br />Irondale High School. She reported National Night Out would be on August 5, 2014 this year. <br />Paul Jacobsen <br />Councilmember Jacobsen reported the EDC will meet again on Wednesday, July 16th at 7:30 <br />a.m. The group would be discussing The Exchange. He noted the CPY Carnival and Golf Ball <br />Drop would be held on Sunday, August 3`a. He encouraged the public to participate in this <br />community event. <br />Brian Strub <br />Councilmember Strub reported the Ramsey County Fair would begin on July 9th. He <br />encouraged New Brighton residents to celebrate July outdoors in the City parks. He further <br />discussed the "Out Is In" park campaign. He noted there would be free yoga on Thursday, July <br />101h at Hanson Park and free putting at the golf course on Tuesday, July 22 d. <br />Mayor Jacobsen <br />Mayor Jacobsen reported the Ramsey County League of Local Government met at the Union <br />Depot last month where an update on light rail was provided. <br />Adiournment <br />Motion by Councilmember Burg, seconded by Councilmember Jacobsen to adjourn the <br />meeting. <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays- Motion Carried, <br />Meeting adjourned at 8:15 p.m. <br />Dave Jacobsen, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Daniel A.
