One of the locations proposed to be lined is in New
Brighton. The MCES is proposing to line the existing 24 -inch interceptor sewer located in the New
Brighton Exchange area. The existing easement area is too confining of an area to allow them to
perform the work efficiently. To help with the construction process, they have drafted the attached
temporary easement agreement. Our City Attorney has reviewed the easement and is in agreement with
the current form of the easement.
The actual work will take approximately 3 months. Their contractor will likely start construction next
spring, but it could happen yet this fall; however, any required site restoration couldn't happen until next
spring. The MCES understands that we have the properties for sale and are actively marketing the site.
The agreement provides for relocation of the easement if necessary. The temporary easement will run
from September 1, 2014 to August 1, 2015.
Costs and Funding: N/A
Grant .
