Mr. Kvaal has 4- wheeler he can use to help clear the rink. He would like the
City of New Brighton to use the water truck to flood the rinks. The City has a
water truck and it was inquired if the City could use the truck to flood the rink.
Mr. Kvall stated that the rink will be used for pick -up play or structured hockey
practice and suggested that perhaps the volunteers could sit in the warming
house (Neighborhood Center).
Commissioner Fields inquired about who would do snow removal if
supervising volunteer is out of town.
Commissioner Eischen asked what would success look like — how do we
quantify it? Structured or informed partnership? Usage metric — how many
kids?
The commissioners will continue to study this issue at their September
meeting. Mr. Kvaal was asked to submit a plan for what he is requesting and
how it can be implemented.
VI. New Business
None
VII. Trails, Bike and Walk -ways
VIII.
