Special Use Criteria Worksheet <br /> 1. That the establishment, maintenance,or operation of the special use will <br /> not be detrimental to or endanger the public health, safety, morals comfort or <br /> general welfare. <br /> We are a school bus company that transports school aged kids to and from school. <br /> We are subject to DOT and Department of Education standards. This property's <br /> layout will assist us with the safe operation of schools buses by getting them under <br /> cover and keeping ice and snow off the windows. The office layout helps us to work <br /> with our drivers to keep the kids safe. The security fence helps to keep our buses <br /> secure from those who might vandalize them. The property is blacktopped,curbed, <br /> and storm water pond serviced. <br /> 2. That the special use will not be injurious to the use and enjoyment of other <br /> property in the immediate vicinity for the purposes already permitted, nor <br /> substantially diminish and impair property values within the neighborhood. <br /> This property is in an industrial area where the neighbors are trucking firms. Our <br /> hours of operation and any engine noise should not be an issue for them. Our buses <br /> can access arterial roads without disturbing residential areas. We will clean up the <br /> landscaping and appearance of the property and bring it to good repair. <br /> 3. That the establishment of the special use will not impeded the normal and <br /> orderly development and improvement of the surrounding property for uses <br /> permitted in the district. <br /> The immediate neighbors have very similar uses to our operations. <br /> 4. That adequate utilities,access roads, drainage, and/or necessary facilities <br /> have been or are being provided. <br /> This is an ideal property for our operation. Its lot is blacktopped and in good repair <br /> with fencing for security. The main building and smaller shop are fire-protected. <br /> Electrical service,sewer.and water are all in place and adequate for our needs. <br /> Drainage is serviced by an on property pond and curb and gutter. <br /> 5. That the special use shall in all other respects conform to the applicable <br /> regulations of the district in which it is located. <br /> Operations of a school bus terminal in an industrial area is an ideal situation. There <br /> should be no aspects of our operations that would not conform to the existing <br /> regulations or impact the neighbors in any way. They are operating similar <br /> operations. <br />
