Report No. 14-296. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Burg, seconded by Councilmember Jacobsen to approve the Consent <br />Agenda as amended removing Item 12. <br /> <br />City Manager Lotter noted that minor changes may be necessary on the Separation Agreement for Grant <br />Fernelius. He requested that the Council allow staff and the legal team some discretion on this item. Consider Resolution Reorganizing the Public Works and Community Development Departments and <br />Forming the Department of Community Assets and Development with the Associated Job Descriptions. <br />Report No. 14-294. <br /> <br />City Manager Lotter explained this item was discussed by the Council in worksession. He reviewed the <br />recommendations within the report noting staff was recommending that the Public Works and Community <br />Development Departments be reorganized to form the Department of Community Assets and Development. <br />This reorganization would eliminate two director positions while creating a single director for the new <br />department. He discussed the cost savings ($167,000/year) that would be observed by the City as a result of <br />the reorganization.
