Q3 2014 1 LAND <br />7-1 <br />> In spite of significant development, apartment vacancies are still at historic lows and <br />there continues to be strong demand for land for apartments in Minneapolis and along <br />transit corridors. <br />> Demand for land for senior housing is strong throughout the metropolitan area. <br />> Although residential home sales have slowed, developers are still seeking land for <br />single family home development, especially in desirable school districts. <br />> Low vacancy in the retail market and the willingness of some retailers to pay <br />historically high rents is driving demand for land for outlot development. <br />> A competitive grocery market (Hy -Vee, Whole Foods, Fresh Thyme) is driving large <br />user sales of land. <br />> Industrial land continues to be highly sought after by developers seeking strategic <br />positions around Minneapolis -St. Paul. <br />
