Councilmember Bauman asked if any of the costs to publicize the watering ban program would be eligible for <br />refunding. She supported the City providing residents with magnets, as it would be a constant reminder. <br />lLotter believed this to be the case. <br />Councilmember Burg questioned how staff was monitoring the time that was being invested in the water <br />conservation program. Lotter explained that hours would be tracked in a database. <br />Councilmember Jacobsen recommended that a sign be posted at City Hall as well to keep the public informed. <br />Councilmember Bauman thanked staff for all of the work they have put to address this concern. She was glad <br />that the City was prepared. She questioned who served on the CAT team. Hamdorf reviewed the staff <br />members currently serving on the CAT team. <br />Mayor Jacobsen appreciated the staged approach presented by staff within the water conservation policy. <br />Hamdorf explained he would be preparing a Resolution for the next Council meeting and staff could make a <br />presentation to provide the public with information on the water conservation policy. <br />Councilmember Strub recommended that staff bring the signs to the next Council meeting for the residents to <br />view. <br />Councilmember Burg suggested that Hamdorf create a CTV informational video on the watering ban. <br />Council Check -In with Crai , Raw <br />Lotter reviewed the lacus and actions taken by the Council over the past five months. He indicated water <br />issues have been a main focus for much of this time. He reviewed how the City has achieved financial <br />sustainability, economic development and operational excellence. He discussed the items the Council would <br />be covering over the coming months. Staff anticipated that Block D would be developing in the near future. <br />Lotter commented that workforce engagement and development would continue to be an actionable plan staff <br />was creating and would take effect in 2016. He understood that the Council was working on effective <br />governance and community engagement. He reviewed how staff was providing the Council with updates and <br />information on a weekly basis in hopes of improving communication. <br />Lotter was pleased to report that the revenue being generated by Stockyard Days was on the rise. He <br />anticipated that the favorable weather the past few years has been a major factor in this. He discussed the <br />members that currently serve on the Stockyard Days committee. He noted that Craig Schlichting would be <br />assisting with this group. <br />Councilmember Burg was in favor of receiving an update from the Stockyard Days committee at a future <br />Council worksession meeting, or suggested that a joint meeting be held. She was in favor of reiterating that <br />the Council was not in any way wanting to take control of this event. <br />Councilmember Jacobsen and Councilmember Bauman agreed that it would benefit the Council and the <br />Stockyard Days committee to meet to clear the air and set reasonable expectations. <br />Mayor Jacobsen wanted to see the Council and Stockyard Days committee working together in order to assist <br />with organization and promotion of the City's annual celebration. <br />
