Lotter indicated he would invite the Stockyard Days committee to the June 16th meeting. He then reviewed the <br />major policy issues that the Council had addressed in 2015. <br />Craig Rapp requested comment from the Council on how communication between the Council and staff was <br />going. <br />Councilmember Burg commended staff for their efforts and believed that communication levels with staff were <br />met to her satisfaction. <br />Mayor Jacobsen questioned why the weekly memo had shifted from Friday to Monday. He explained that this <br />change gave the Council less time to digest the material prior to the Council meetings. Lotter believed that this <br />made logistical sense to shift it to the beginning of the week. <br />Councilmember Jacobsen appreciated receiving all of the committee packets and believed the Monday memo <br />was well done. <br />Mr. Rapp asked if the Council believed that the City meetings were effective. <br />Councilmember Jacobsen felt prepared for each Council meeting. <br />Councilmember Strub agreed stating he did not believe there were any surprised when he arrived for a Council <br />meeting each Tuesday. <br />Mayor Jacobsen appreciated being well informed but requested the Monday memo be switched back to Friday. <br />Mr. Rapp requested comment from the Council on the rebranding of the Town Hall meeting. <br />Councilmember Strub believed that this year's Town Hall meeting went well. He appreciated that <br />presentations provided by staff. <br />Mr. Rapp questioned how the Council felt the offsite meeting went. <br />Councilmember Jacobsen believed this meeting went very well. He encouraged staff to plan another offsite <br />meeting for this fall. <br />Councilmember Strub agreed and was pleased by the large attendance at the offsite meeting. He agreed staff <br />should plan a fall offsite meeting. <br />Councilmember Burg also supported a fall offsite meeting. <br />Lotter suggested Windsor Green be considered for the next offsite Council meeting. <br />Councilmember Strub was in favor of the Council holding additional joint meetings with the City's <br />commissions. <br />Councilmember Burg believed the joint meetings would show how the Council values each of these groups. <br />Mayor Jacobsen stated he believed the joint meeting with the EDC was disappointing. He provided comment <br />on some of the comments from the EDC that were of concern to him. He was in favor of the EDC pursuing <br />further information on successful housing programs, such as the program conducted by the City of Coon <br />
