February 10, 2015 Page 5 of 5 <br />Commission Liaison Reports, Announcements and Updates <br />Dean Lotter <br />City Manager Lotter reported staff will be engaged with a bond call with Standard & Poor's <br />next week. The City was hoping to achieve a AA+ bond rating. <br />Gina Bauman <br />Councilmember Bauman stated she recently attended the North Suburban Communications <br />Commission meeting, which was a nine member committee. She was proud to announce she <br />was elected Chair of this committee. She further discussed the items this group would be <br />addressing in the coming months. She noted she would be attending a presentation with <br />CenturyLink to discuss the PRISM services they would be providing in the metro area. She <br />commented there would be an Open House at CTV on Monday, April 27th. She explained on <br />April 30th there would be a volunteer recognition ceremony at the Mounds View Community <br />Center. <br />Paul Jacobsen <br />Councilmember Jacobsen thanked County Commissioner McGuire for her time this evening. <br />He thanked Andre Barte for his dedicated IT service to the City of New Brighton. He reported <br />he would be attending the EDC meeting on February 18th. He noted he would also be <br />attending the Public Safety meeting on February 23rd. He explained he visited the Pulte Homes <br />models this past weekend. He encouraged residents to preview these homes. He indicated the <br />Irondale Robotics Club had an Open House on Monday, February 16th at the Irondale High <br />School. <br />Brian Strub <br />Councilmember Strub thanked the City for allowing him to attend the League of Minnesota <br />Cities Leadership Conference. He indicated PREC met on February 4th and discussed a <br />potential trail along County Road H. He reported he attended the Snowshoe Shuffle on <br />February 7th. He stated he would be attending a school district luncheon this week. He <br />encouraged the public to get out and enjoy the City's ice rinks. He commented that City <br />commissions were in need of volunteers.
