Councilmember Strub requested further infonnation on Mr. Danger's construction business. <br />Mr. Danger explained he has been in the construction business for 25 years and prior to that he was in sales. <br />He indicated he does both residential and commercial construction work. He noted that in the early 1970's he <br />was an electrician and worked in other trades as well. <br />Councilmember Burg asked the first question and wondered why Bill wanted to continue to serve the City of <br />New Brighton. <br />Bill Kerns stated his interest was in public safety. He stated if someone else has applied and wanted to <br />participate he would step aside to allow someone else the opportunity. <br />Councilmember Bauman appreciated Bill's time and thanked him for his service to the City noting it was <br />greatly appreciated by the City Council. <br />Councilmember Jacobsen asked why Robert was willing to continue serving the City. <br />Robert Allen believed the City had several issues that still needed focus, in particular, safety for the City's kids <br />and elderly. He recommended that the City's crosswalks be touched up near the community center. He stated <br />the new 10th Street bridge offered the City an opportunity to improve safety along this corridor. <br />Councilmember Bauman thanked Mr. Allen for his time and for his service to the community. <br />Councilmember Strub stated due to time constraints, the interviews were being shortened. He asked why <br />Megan Eischen if she was interested in continuing her service to the City on PREC. <br />Ms. Eischen stated she has enjoyed getting to know people in the community and the issues with the parks and <br />trails. She enjoyed the people on PREC and wanted to move forward and address environmental and <br />sustainability issues. <br />Councilmember Strub asked if Megan had any questions for the Council. <br />Megan asked what the biggest focus for PREC should be in the coming years. <br />Councilmember Bauman believed that park maintenance should be addressed. <br />Councilmember Strub indicated the Council was working to better connect with its commissions and would be <br />holding a joint meeting with PREC at some point this year. <br />Councilmember Jacobsen stated park definitions and maintenance were concerns to hien. <br />Mayor Jacobsen asked why Cindy was willing to continue her service to the community. <br />Cindy Ketola enjoyed her service on the public safety commission. She stated she has lived in the City for <br />over 10 years. <br />The Council thanked her for her time and for her service to the City. <br />Councilmember Bauman questioned why Ms. Zelm was interested in continuing her service to the City. <br />
