Consideration ofthe Health Insurance Re -Opener with Law Enforcement Labor Services Local <br />263. <br />Motion by Councilmember Burg, seconded by Councilmember Jacobsen to approve the Consent <br />Agenda as presented. <br />Councilmember Burg appreciated the generous donations made to the City by Kitchen Kut Ups, Stockyard <br />Days and Change for the Better. <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays - Motion Carried <br />Public Hearing <br />None. <br />Council Business <br />Consider Adoption of the Mutual Aid Agreement to Provide for the Automatic <br />Dispatch of the Closest Emergency Response Unit Regardless of Jurisdictional <br />Boundaries. <br />Motion by Councilmember Burg, seconded by Councilmember Jacobsen to Adopt the Mutual Aid <br />Agreement to Provide For the Automatic Dispatch of the Closest Emergency Response <br />Unit Regardless of Jurisdictional Boundaries. <br />City Manager Lotter indicated Officer Trevor Hamdorf had a presentation for the Council. <br />Officer Hamdorf explained in 2015 the Ramsey County Emergency Communications Center, <br />whom the City of New Brighton contracts with to serve as our Dispatch Center, purchased and <br />placed into service a new Computer Aided Dispatching (CAD) system to manage resources <br />and emergency calls. A feature of this new CAD system, which did not exist with prior <br />versions of the dispatch system, is the ability to locate and recommend the dispatch of an <br />emergency response unit who may be closer to an emergency that the resources of the authority <br />having jurisdiction.
