i cry Of W 111,1 GHTON the City that works for you AGENDA SECTION: Consent REPORT DATE: June 10, 2015 MEETING DATE: June 23, 2015 REQUEST FOR CITY COUNCIL CONSIDERATION ITEM DESCRIPTION: CONSIDERATION OF FINAL PAYMENT TO ROCHON CORPORATION FOR PROJECT 13-11, NEW BRIGHTON COMMUNITY CENTER LOCKER ROOM/RESTROOM RENOVATION PROJECT DEPARTMENT HEAD'S APPROVAL: Sandy Breuer, Director of Parks and Recreation CITY MANAGER APPROVAL: No comments to supplement this report Comments attached Explanation: Council authorized an agreement with Rochon Corporation for Project 13-11, NBCC Locker Room/Restroom Renovation Project. Rochon Corporation provided labor, materials, services, equipment necessary for completion of the NBCC Locker Room/Restroom Renovation Project. Project included: 1. Demolition of stage area in gymnasium. 2. Demolition of men's and women's locker rooms. 3. Construction of women's locker room in stage area. 4. Reconstruction of men's locker room. 5. Construction of common area, family restrooms and personal needs room. 6. Remodel of current main floor restrooms. 7. Remodel of 2nd floor restrooms. A number of changes to the original contract were accepted throughout the course of the project. These changes increased the value of the agreement with Rochon Corporation, and will be funded by the 10% contingency that was approved Substantial completion of the project was reached on March 30, 2015. Minor punch list items have since been finished and the project is now complete. Recommendation: To approve Final Payment for City Project 13-11, NBCC Locker Room/Restroom Renovation Project to Rochon Corporation, in the amount of $35,340. Legislative History: June 11, 2013 — Council authorized a proposal with Rosa Architectural Group to create building plans and specifications for the NBCC Restroom/Locker Room Renovation Project.
